• Former Head of the Department of Gastroenterology and Director of the Gastroenterology–Hepatobiliary Center at Bach Mai Hospital.

Research and academic contributions:

• Former lecturer at Hanoi Medical University and Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

• Former Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Gastroenterology and Editor-in-Chief of the Vietnamese Journal of Gastroenterology.

• Led national research on the screening, diagnosis, and treatment of early gastric cancer.
